Terms of Service
Beta terms · Last updated: September 24, 2026
These terms apply to the free ConsignTrace beta. By installing or using the app, you confirm that you are authorized to act for the Shopify merchant and agree to these terms.
The service
ConsignTrace imports selected Shopify order, product, and refund data; maps variants to consignors; calculates payout periods; and produces statements and manual payment records. ConsignTrace does not hold funds, initiate transfers, submit taxes, or provide accounting, tax, employment, or legal advice.
Merchant responsibilities
- Keep product-to-consignor mappings, commission rules, payout dates, and external payment references accurate.
- Review warnings, source entries, and statement totals before locking a batch or paying a consignor.
- Maintain lawful agreements with consignors and comply with tax, accounting, consumer, employment, and privacy requirements.
- Protect Shopify accounts and time-limited portal links, and only share statements with authorized recipients.
- Do not misuse the service, probe other merchants' data, bypass access controls, or interfere with availability.
Beta availability
The beta is provided without a subscription fee and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Features, limits, data formats, and eligibility may change as the product is tested. We will not introduce a charge without presenting the applicable Shopify billing approval flow.
Our planned price is USD 29 per 30 days; billing is not yet live. Scope: up to 100 consignors and one location; larger shops, talk to us. No annual plan, pricing tier or trial duration has been agreed.
A separate written pilot offer is available for up to five stores: free throughout beta, then USD 29 per 30 days fixed for the first 12 months once billing begins. The beta end date will be determined at the B1 pilot review and communicated before any transition to paid service. General use does not reserve a pilot place, and accepting pilot terms does not authorize a charge.
Payout records
Locking a batch creates an application snapshot intended to preserve the calculation used at that time. Marking a batch paid records information supplied by the merchant; it does not prove or execute a transfer. Shopify data, merchant configuration, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, rounding, or external events can affect what is ultimately owed. The merchant remains responsible for final verification and payment.
Data and confidentiality
Each party retains ownership of its information. You grant ConsignTrace the limited right to process submitted data to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Notice.
Intellectual property
ConsignTrace and its software, branding, and documentation remain the property of the service operator and its licensors. These terms provide only a limited, revocable right to use the beta for the merchant's internal business operations.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. ConsignTrace is not responsible for Shopify outages, inaccurate source data, merchant configuration, external payments, or indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service by uninstalling the app. We may suspend access to protect users or the service, address misuse, comply with law, or end the beta. Data deletion after uninstall is described in the Privacy Notice.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the beta develops. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, where required, additional notice. Questions: support@consigntrace.com.
